The 7D2D Mod launcher provides an effortless way to play your favorite mods for 7 Days to Die, while keeping them updated automatically for you. It also provides an easy way to explore and find new mods. It’s essentially software that installs, upgrades, and runs 7D2D mods. A new clean, bare minimum website to help you find exactly what you want, quickly and easily.
V3.1 "Henpocalypse" status (August 2026): the launcher itself is current - run 5.5.0.2 (July 1, 2026). The overhauls are not: no major overhaul has shipped a 3.x build yet, so Darkness Falls, Undead Legacy, War3zuk and the rest still run on their pinned branches (Steam > Properties > Betas). Check the 2026 Mod Status Tracker for who is closest to a port, and the V3.0 mod compatibility guide for why 2.6-era mods do not load on 3.0 unmodified.

When it comes to anything, satisfaction is the best thing. If you’ve been having problems
with the best launcher’s setup and operation, try skimming what’s missing.
You should also look into the installation process of the 7D2D launcher.
This problem could be solved by using the Common Fixes thread. You have to go for it.
Here is the path, for your convenience: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\
7 Days to Die, then click on install 32bit to solve the entire problem.
7D2D includes Valmar’s mods, among them Expansion,
Overhaul, CHS, Horde, A Clockwork Project, Spider’s True Survival mod, and
The Red Wolf’s Steel Mod. There is also a default mode and an offline mode.
You are free to choose any of them.
To allow TLS, you must install a patch provided by Microsoft.
Get the EasyFix tool.
Use EasyFix.Restart your computer.
I’m using The Fun Pimps' tree.
There’s nothing but vanilla in there. Perform Pre-sync Mod and then try Play Mod again.
Add an exemption in your antivirus or firewall (whitelist the 7D2D Mod Launcher executable).
Check the box next to Disable SSH just below the MOD list, and then pick File Loads Defaults from the upper left menu.
When you start the Steam client and click the Play Mod button in the English version, this error will appear.
Launch Steam and then hit the Play Mod button.
