Console Join Failed (Strict NAT)
Tags: console, nat, networking, troubleshooting
Console join failures often trace back to strict NAT or blocked ports. Fix NAT first, then test the server again.
Check NAT status
- Open NAT is ideal. Moderate may work; Strict often fails.
- Enable UPnP or forward ports to the console/router.
If you host at home
- Forward 26900-26905 UDP/TCP to the server host.
- Confirm your ISP provides a public IPv4 address.
- If you are behind CGNAT, request a public IP or use hosting.
